Anita Agrawal is the CEO of the multi-award winning Canadian jewellery manufacturing company, Best Bargains; recipient of OWIT’s 2012 Woman Exporter of the Year award. She is responsible for sales,
She is responsible for sales, promotions, advertising, jewellery designing and media relations. In addition to her work at Best Bargains, Anita has used her wide skill set to work with over 50 not-for-profit organizations in her capacity as a consultant to the Canada Council for the Arts and Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario.
Over the years, Anita has been interviewed about her work by Canadian and international journals, including the Globe and Mail, Profit Magazine, Canadian Jeweller and more. Anita demonstrates her devotion to community service and bringing out the best in people as a professor at the School of Business at Centennial College in Scarborough. She has taught nearly 1000 post graduate students how to develop their business soft skills to become leaders in their workplace.
Anita’s passion for community engagement also led her to run as both a provincial and a federal candidate in 2007 and 2008, respectively, for the New Democratic Party of Canada.
She holds a B.Sc (hons) in human biology from the University of Toronto, a post graduate diploma in Ecommerce from Centennial College and an MA in social anthropology from Carleton University in Ottawa.
She has taken executive courses at The Rotman School of Business and was selected as one of 12 Canadian mentees for the Accenture supplier diversity training program for 2013-2014 and one of 8 North America wide mentees for the supplier diversity program through RBC Bank in 2015. In her spare time, Anita enjoys making art and volunteering.
