Founder and Executive Director, One Spark
Corrie Schneider is the Founder and Executive Director of One Spark: she fostered her passion for One Spark’s vision of a world where no woman faces financial barriers to living a life free of violence over two decades of strategic consulting for NGOs, primarily in the field of violence against women. Corrie started One Spark in 2013, with the goal of assisting women impacted by violence to launch their own businesses as a means of working towards financial independence and escaping abuse.
Corrie is a graduate of the MBA program at Schulich School of Business (York University), with specializations in Strategic Management and Marketing and holds a Political Science degree from Queen’s University. She began her career in the charity sector as the lead on Plan Canada’s Corporate Partnership program, and went on to hold fund development and leadership roles with national, provincial, and local organizations. In 2008 Corrie started MindBridge Strategies, a strategic consultancy for non-profit organizations, and has led and facilitated strategic planning, Board development, and organizational improvement processes for a broad range of client organizations. As a volunteer, Corrie most recently served as President of the Board of Interim Place, a shelter for women & children experiencing abuse.
